We had a great crowd yesterday at our annual 4th of July Fest! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to show their support and enjoy the festivities. If you couldn’t make or just can’t get enough of Capon Crossing, join us tomorrow for round two! We’ll be serving food again: ground chuck hamburgers and cheeseburgers, steak on a stick, brats, tornado fries, and ice cream bars. Banana Express will be opening for Buddy Dunlap and Friends, who will play at 5pm. Come hungry and bring a chair if you would like to stay for some fantastic bluegrass!
The following morning will be the regular yoga class, from 9:00am-10:30am.

Annual July 4th Festival!

And this year, twice the fun! Capon Crossing will be hosting our annual 4th of July festival, but also be celebrating on the 7th for those of you who can’t make it out to the farm on the 4th.

Lonesome Highway will perform on the 4th, starting at 5pm, and Buddy Dunlap and Friends will perform on the 7th, also starting at 5pm. Banana Express will open on both days. Food and drinks will be served all day: brisket sandwiches, burgers, steak-on-a-stick, tornado fries! Bring a chair if you are coming for the music!

Thanks to those of you who joined us for the Yoga Open House this past Saturday! We really appreciate your support.

Beginning July 1st, and every Sunday thereafter, yoga classes will be held in the barn from 9:00am-10:30am. Classes are open to all levels, from beginners to experienced yoga practitioners. Pay by donation. Elli, who will be teaching the classes, has been practicing yoga for the past 9 years. She studied Ashtanga yoga for 5 months during her stay in India during 2009, and this past March traveled back to India to get her teacher’s certification in Sivananda Hatha yoga. Hope you will join us!

Also, save the date for our July festivals! On the 4th and 7th, we will be serving our own grass-fed beef and hosting Lonesome Highway, who will be playing at 5pm. It should be fun, as usual!

Ben is about to turn 3, and Capon Crossing is turning 2 on July 4th! Come help us celebrate Ben’s birthday, our nation’s birthday, and Capon Crossing’s birthday, too!
